About

The Clifton Creek Community Recovery Team (CCCRT) was established in May 2020 with residents surveyed shortly afterward to determine what the most urgent recovery priorities were.

Our vision is that we are a resilient, inclusive, connected rural neighbourhood thriving in a safe and healthy environment.

To achieve this vision, the Recovery Team is working closely with community members, the local school, existing volunteer groups, Bushfire Recovery Victoria and the East Gippsland Shire to plan, find funding for and deliver projects in line with our priorities. Several priority projects are currently underway, others are still in the planning phase.

Projects

The Clifton Creek Community Recovery Team is working in close partnership with our CFA, Tennis Club, Landcare Groups, Hall Committee and School on the following projects:

  • Community catch ups and conversations
  • Playground installation and reserve facilities upgrades
  • Upgrades to community hall, BBQ area, cladding, hall technology, kitchen and bathroom facilities
  • Community newsletter
  • Tennis court resurfacing
  • Fire management advocacy
  • Biodiversity recovery
  • Community safety and telecommunications advocacy

We welcome individuals and groups with ideas and issues to contact us for help and we warmly welcome new members to join our recovery team or community groups at any stage.
